Scott R. Mondell

Scott R. Mondell is a Director in the firm and Chair of the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Department.  Scott’s practice is limited to advising national and local employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators in achieving their strategic goals with respect to their workers’ compensation exposures.  Scott’s practice also includes protection of lien and subrogation rights of workers’ compensation insurers.  

Scott is a graduate of the University of Delaware (B.S., 1982) and the Delaware Law School of Widener University (J.D., 1985).  He was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1985 and Delaware in 1988. He is Co-chair of the Industrial Accident Board’s Rules Committee and previously served as President of the Delaware State Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section.  

Scott is a member of the Philadelphia Workers’ Compensation Claims Association and the Delaware Claims Association.  He frequently lectures to various groups on the topic of Delaware Workers’ Compensation.  

Scott currently serves as vice president and a member of the Board of Kids Chance Delaware, a non-profit entity that provides college funding to children of individuals killed or seriously injured in workers’ compensation accidents.

When not in the office, Scott spends his time brewing beer and attending live music events with his wife, three children, two cats and any number of foster cats.
